Myriam Demosthenes has been an active member of the Georgia Haitian-American Chamber of Commerce, Inc. since January 2015 and currently serves on the Board as a member of the Finance Committee.

She graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration and a minor in Hospitality Management.  Shortly after, Myriam began her career at Orlando Health and quickly moved into management roles.   Seeking to further her career, she obtained her Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration from Webster University and has been on an upward motion in the field of hospital management for over ten years.  Currently, Myriam is an Operations Supervisor at Northside Hospital, where she oversees a staff of 35 in several divisions.

In addition to her commitment to professional success, Myriam believes in giving-back and has dedicated her time and expertise to various non-profit organizations.  She has mentored youths as a volunteer with Junior Achievements and served as the Executive Event Coordinator for the Global Haitian Advancement Though Education and Sports (GHATES), which serves at-risk youth in Haiti.  Following the devastating 2010 Haiti Earthquake, Myriam and her GHATES colleagues, travelled to Jeremie, Haiti to host a 3-day educational youth summit, soccer and basketball  tournaments.

Myriam enjoys attending sporting events, reading, traveling, establishing meaningful relationships, and has participated in countless community runs that fundraise for worthwhile causes.   She looks forward to serving the members of the Georgia Haitian-American Chamber of Commerce and her community.
