About BEL Initiative
Through Business, Entrepreneurship and Leadership (BEL), the BEL Initiative seeks to stimulate investments, job creation, and sustainability in Haiti by driving business development, promoting entrepreneurship, and cultivating transformational leadership. In 2019, the BEL Initiative (Cohort 2019) will provide up to 20 outstanding young leaders from Haiti the opportunity to hone their skills at a U.S. higher-education institution for 4 weeks with support for professional development after they return home. The initiative focuses on key areas that can re-define the economy of Haiti and impact the critical Sustainable Development Goals.
Our 2019 host campuses are Albany State University, University of Iowa and Georgia Institute of Technology.
